Search the site powered by Web SydneyCafeGuide	About This Website This website was conceived as an idea sometime in 2004, perhaps earlier, by some core members of the team that brought you Sydney Pub Guide (you may notice some similarities in layout and concept). The basic plan was that, considering we spent a lot of time in cafes eating breakfast and trying to shrug off our hangovers, then maybe a lot of other people might be wanting to do the same and could benefit from our expertise. Of course, the idea evolved and changed over time until finally this site was launched in 2006 to some rather discreet fanfare with around 100 cafes listed. We're hoping that we can surpass the pubguide's already impressive 500+ listings within the first few months of our operation, and for this reason it is totally FREE to list a cafe here. What's more, it's totally FREE to comment on cafes already listed, and to sign up for such extra features as your own journal, list of favourites and more features we haven't even begun to dream of. At the time of writing, it's still heavily in development and the plan is in flux, but we should have user comments, discussion forums, recipes (which users can add for themselves), and even more, very very soon.
